Good morning! We've got some hazy sunshine this morning. It's supposed to get up around 90 this afternoon. We're not going anywhere.
Actually, we probably wouldn't be able to if we wanted to.

Yesterday their party on the porch totally blocked us in. They had their grill right in front of our door. If we had  walked out without looking out of the window we would have fallen over it. This party went on until around 11 last night. They were drinking and kept getting louder and louder.
The people in the building across from us had a late party, but theirs didn't last very long. I guess they sold all their stuff quickly and it was over with.
The party on the porch is already starting up again this morning. They're out there getting the grill ready and we're seeing lots of people coming up.

Tomorrow I'm going up to the office. I don't like to be a complainer, but when we can't get out of our apartment, then something has to be done. And it will be - one way or another! I've had enough.

We're just going to take it as easy as we can today. Maybe we'll be able to find a good movie on TV. If not, I've got some DVD's. LOL!
You all enjoy your Sunday!  Hugs!

Good morning! It's cloudy and really nice outside. The temp is just 69 right now and it's only supposed to get up to 85 this afternoon. There's a bit of a breeze blowing, too.  Yesterday our high temp was just 75! It stayed cloudy and just a bit breezy all day. Too bad we couldn't have this weather all summer!

Monica & Bobby came over yesterday with Kyle and Bobby's son DJ.  We all decided to be outside because it was so nice. They brought me the movies and I gave them the banana bread. I got "suggestions" of what to put in their Christmas box. LOL! Kyle's one request is fudge. Bobby said he would be happy with anything. He's such a nice guy! I think Monica finally found the right one this time. You all keep your fingers crossed.

We don't have anything planned for today. We think there's going to be another party on the porch. Bertha got a grill and she and a couple of other ladies were talking about going home and taking their meat out of the freezer so it would be ready. Bertha has ribs and this other lady is bringing the ground beef for hamburgers. We'll see what happens. Michael and I are just happy that we don't have to go out.

I think I'm going to take it easy this weekend. You all enjoy your Saturday!  Hugs!

Pat - My thoughts and prayers have been with you. I've got a candle going until we find out that you are going to be fine.

Good morning! I finally made it in. The lightning knocked out our internet yesterday. Early in the morning, we were woken up by a really loud crack of thunder. I didn't think a whole lot of it until after we got up and turned on our computers. The WiFi came on but we couldn't connect to the internet. I thought it had been knocked out. I called up to the office to make sure and was told that it was out all over. It didn't come back on until late yesterday and by then I was too tired to get online.

We got lots and lots of rain yesterday. According to what we heard on the news a while ago, it was close to 3 inches. Thankfully, we didn't have any flooding. We still have heavy clouds this morning and the chance of some showers.
We're not planning on going anywhere.

Monica & Bobby are coming by this afternoon. They had some movies that they were going to sell and I told them that I would buy them. Besides that, I made 4 loaves of banana bread yesterday and told them they could have some.  I also made regular bread yesterday. I had to do something! LOL!

Michael and I started taking Turmeric capsules. They have some really great health benefits. Of course, none of them are supported by the FDA. But, my knees have quit hurting and some of the MS symptoms seem to have eased immensely. I was out in the kitchen and cooking most of the day - something I haven't been able to do in ages. I even made tetrazzini for supper last night. I was tired, but not in pain.
Here's a couple of places to go to read about it if you're interested:

I've got a few things to get done this morning, so I'm going to run along. You all have a great day!  Hugs!

Pat - I hope you and Jim are doing okay at the new place. I know it'll take some getting used to, but I'm sure you'll be fine.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that your house sells quickly.
Continued prayers for you, too. Sounds like they're taking good care of you.
Those aluminum pans I got all have lids. I'll hang onto them and use them at Christmas. It makes things so much easier! I'm sure they'll have another sale before the holidays and I'll get more.

Good afternoon all - Thought I would pop in while I have the chance.  I had blood work again today and have appointment at 7:30 tomorrow morning for pre-op.  Then Friday, I go to Toronto Hospital for the lung exploratory and internal biopsy.  (yeah!)
Monday is the head scan and Tuesday is a Pet-Scan which is a full body scan.  I'm not looking forward to any of it!

Meanwhile, we've been going back to the house every day or so to make sure its tidied up or to pick up more things or to cut the lawn.  Its weird going there already.  its all going reasonably well at the new place.

PAT

Hi Marsha - Great to find those aluminum pans on sale!  I like the ones that also have a lid on them, great for freezing things.  I hope any flash floods don't effect you guys!

Good morning! Right now the sun is bright and just 74. The humidity is rather high, but not too bad. There's a pretty good breeze, so it feels nice.  We're already under a flash flood watch - all the way into Friday morning. I was just looking at the radar and there's a strong line of storms out by the panhandle and coming this way. If it holds together, we'll see it this afternoon.

We're not planning on going anywhere. We went to the store yesterday. They had alot of those aluminum foil pans on sale - buy one get one for a penny. I like to use those at Christmas for gifts, so got a bunch of them. They even had some big loaf pans - ones that will hold a 5 lb. loaf!!!!
Speaking of which, I need to make some bread this afternoon. I'm not going to use those big pans yet. I usually make regular loaves or sandwich rolls. That's good enough for us.

I guess I'd better get moving so I can get things started. You all have a great day!  Hugs!

Good morning! The sun is shining this morning, but it probably won't be for long. According to the weatherman, the cold front has come through, but we won't see any significant rain until tomorrow when it backs up and comes back over us from the south. We had a whole lot of rain yesterday evening. There was some good thunder and the wind got real strong for a while. There were some shingles laying on the ground from the building across from us.  Anyway - we're not supposed to have any more rain until tomorrow and then it'll be through to Friday morning. I think I'll just wait and see what happens.

We've got to run up to the store for a couple of things. It's only supposed to reach 90 this afternoon. I know! It's still hot, but better then the 104 we've had the last couple of days.  Otherwise, we'll just be here.

You all have a good day!  Hugs!

Pat - I'm glad that they're getting right on these appointments. Best to get them all done instead of putting it off. I know it's a pain to get up early, but it's for your health. Right?
Jimmy is really going to town on those sheds. I know you'll be glad to have everything over and done with.
Bertha (next door) seems to think that the whole porch is hers. We've heard her say it. Like I told Michael - if I wanted to go out, I would. They would just have to move.

Good afternoon - We're back at the old house doing a bit more dusting and packing up.  My computer is still here and I'm using the laptop at the new place.  Jim mowed the front lawn again so it looks good and he says he's going to sweep down the decks again too.  But for now, I've laid him down for a little cat nap.  He looked pretty tired and he didn't put up much of a fight.
 photo Sweeping.gif
I have load of laundry in the dryer already and I'm washing out a couple of older totes to begin packing up our fridge.  I like leaving a bit of food in it because when we come here we can have breakfast before we start work.  Today I'll pack up our salad dressings, pickles, condiments, etc.  The next trip will probably be the frozen goods.
 photo Washer.gif
My medical appointments are pouring in and I'm trying to keep them all straight.  One of them (Thursday) we have to be in Barrie Hospital at 7:30 in the morning!  That means we leave here about 6:30 am.  Sheesh!
 photo TiredSun.jpg
Young Jimmy is working like crazy!  He has one shed built, he just has to put the doors on it and then he starts the next one.  He uses all his spare time doing this stuff and still works a full shift at the plant. As soon as the first shed is ready, Jim & I will fill it with a bunch of the totes that are cramming his basement.  Then we can take more stuff over from here.  Its amazing how much stuff you collect.  I will start my garage sales as soon as I can.  But they may not really get going until the Spring due to the crazy weather we've been having.  I hope that's not the case.....

PAT

Hi Marsha - Blocking your door is a bit rude!  Does she think you are friends now so it doesn't matter?  We have had the occasional hot day but most of them are more like spring weather. And the rain!  (sigh)

RE:JULY 14 - 20th

Good morning!  It was 104 yesterday and they're saying that today will most likely be the same. I'm not going anywhere! It's just too hot to be out.
Tomorrow that strong cold front is supposed to come through. That's going to be so nice! Of course, it's only going to last a few days, but when it's this hot, we'll take whatever relief we can get for however long.

Junior & Breeze have been running and acting crazy this morning. I guess they're already feeling the change in the air pressure.

Yesterday there was a big party out on the porch. We couldn't have gotten out our door if we'd wanted to. It was completely blocked. Now, we don't care if they have their parties, but blocking our door so we can't get out is going a bit too far. So, I'm going to walk up to the office in a while and talk to Sandra. If there had been an emergency, we would have had a hell of a time just getting out to the car.  Sometimes these people just overstep their bounds.

Otherwise, everything is just fine. We had a fairly quiet day yesterday. I'm going to finish up my coffee and see what kind of trouble I can get into. You all have a wonderful day!  Hugs!
