I cried today.  We had been working in the garage and I was looking through the things that had been brought down out of the rafters.  One of the things was my Rain Lamp.  The box that it had been so carefully packed in was coming loose at the bottom so we decided to take the lamp out and put it into a newer box.

When we took it out we discovered that the strings that the oil runs down were brittle and lots of them were broken.  They were simply dissolving. These lamps are so fragile and were made in the late 70's.  It was beyond repair and I told Jim to put it in the garbage while I stood there and cried.  We got it as a wedding gift from my foster daughter and it just broke my heart to see it go......
