Pendleton - Cry Baby Bridge - it is on the way to Pendleton. legend was that a
woman drowned her child off of the bridge. If you park your car there at
midnight it will not start back up and you will hear a woman crying or her baby
crying.

Pendleton - Falls Creek Park - In 1945 two lovers, Jon and Rachael, were
playfully chasing each other across the bridge early one morning. They just
spent the whole night together doing what lovers do. As Jon chased her, Rachael
tripped on her skirt and fell tragically into the creek hitting her head on one
of the rocks, killing her almost instantly. Witnesses say that after Jon dove in
after Rachael, it appeared that he was being held under by Rachael's lifeless
corps. Ever since that day, some claim they can hear the whole tragedy and
others say they see it.

Pendleton - Main Street Graveyard - It is located in the outskirts of Pendleton,
Indiana. Anderson is at least 20 miles away from it. And Main Street Graveyard
is located a half mile down the road from that. It is where a little girl is
suspected to be the devil. On top of her grave there has been a plant growing
over many of years. this plant has now begun to shape like the Devil's
Pitchfork.

Pendleton - Mt. Giliad Church - If you run around this church 10 times prior to
going to Main Street Graveyard and Crybaby bridge(see Anderson and Markleville
listings) you will conjure up spirits which will make your evening trip a little
more interesting. Take SR 38 east out of Pendleton to County Road 50 West. Then
turn south about 3 miles to Mt. Giliad Church. After running go south about 2
more miles and you will cross the county line and then turn right on Hancock
County road 675. It is there you will then find Crybaby Bridge and Main Street
Graveyard a little beyond that. The lane to the graveyard is blocked by
boulders.

Haunted Story:
If you run around this church 10 times prior to going to Main Street Graveyard and Crybaby bridge you will conjure up spirits which will make your evening trip a little more interesting.

Our Testimonial:
It sounded like a stupid idea, but you better believe we did it. It felt wierd around our 8-10th time around, however it could have been because I was out of breath. Didn't help to conjure up anything, except maybe misquitos.

Rating:None

Cry Baby Bridge

(3)Turn LEFT onto IN-38.
(4)Follow IN-38 outside of Pendleton to County Road 50 West.
(5)Turn RIGHT on County Road 50 West
(6)Turn RIGHT on County Road 675 East
(7)END at Cry Baby Bridge (only bridge on 675)

Haunted Story:
Legend was that a woman drowned her child off of the bridge. If you park your car there at midnight it will not start back up and you will hear a woman crying or her baby crying.

Our Testimonial:
Well we sat on the bridge for quite some time. I even called for the baby, and it was approximately midnight. However I didn't hear any cries at all, and our vehicle started back up. The bridge itself is interesting. You can see the water under your feet! It was an interesting bridge with some graffiti, however I don't think it was haunted.

Rating:None

Main Street Graveyard

(1)Merge onto I-69
(2)Take the IN-38 exit- exit number 19- toward PENDLETON/NOBLESVILLE.
(3)Turn LEFT onto IN-38.
(4)Follow IN-38 outside of Pendleton to County Road 50 West.
(5)Turn RIGHT on County Road 50 West
(6)Turn RIGHT on County Road 675 East
(7)END at Main Street Graveyard (1/2 mile down road from Cry Baby Bridge, on right)

Haunted Story:
It is where a little girl is suspected to be the devil. On top of her grave there has been a plant growing over many of years. this plant has now begun to shape like the Devil's Pitchfork.

Our Testimonial:
We did find the graveyard, which was about 1/8 mile down a muddy road. It was a graveyard that didn't seem to be very well taken care of, and was quite remote. We were absolutely swarmed by misquitos, so bring LOTS of OFF!. We looked and searched around at all the graves, and the only thing that remotely looked like a pitchford is the one in the picture. They seem as though they were recently trimmed. The graveyard is kind of spooky, however we didn't have time to get scared due to all of the misquitos. We drove back there the second time (make sure you have 4WD). This helped keep us from the misquitos and gave us more light. Matt backed into a couple of headstones and ran over a couple more. Other than that, it wasn't too eventful. Worth a look if your in the area.

Rating:(If you consider the billions of misquitos...)
